NYT: Hillary Gave Donor Access in Return for Free Ride on Private Jet for Bill, FBI: Hillary Doesn’t Know what “Classified” Means

For well over a year now, the evidence has been steadily building that Hillary Clinton is either irredeemably corrupt, magnificently stupid, malevolently evil, or some horrible combination of all three. Each new drip in the seemingly continual flow of revelations brings new reason to question her ability to lead, while also undermining her ability to remain free from prison. Thus far, she’s proved slimy enough to stay out of the grasp of authorities and Teflon enough to spin the leaks as bad news for her opponents.

It’s truly been stupefying to watch.

However, a pair of recent stories will make it harder for Hillary and her team to continue their demonic dance.

From the New York Times, we learned on Friday that there is most certainly PROOF positive that Hillary was involved with pay-for-play while she was heading the State Department. Emails uncovered by Judicial Watch and reported on by the Times show that the State Department gave a Clinton Foundation donor from Dow Chemical access to Hillary Clinton in exchange for Bill Clinton’s use of the company’s private jet.

From the NYT:

In one exchange in July 2009, Ms. Abedin told Mrs. Clinton’s scheduler that Mr. Clinton “wants to be sure” that Mrs. Clinton would be able to see Andrew Liveris, the chief executive of Dow Chemical, at an event the next night. Dow Chemical has been one of the biggest donors to the Clinton Foundation, giving $1 million to $5 million, records show.

Ms. Abedin arranged what she called “a pull-aside” for Mr. Liveris to speak with Mrs. Clinton in a private room after she arrived to give a speech, according to the emails, which did not explain the reason for the meeting.

The person with knowledge of the issue said that this email chain also related to Mr. Clinton’s North Korea trip because Mr. Liveris had offered to let Mr. Clinton use his private plane.

separate batch of State Department documents released by Judicial Watch last month also revealed contacts between the State Department and Clinton Foundation donors. In one such exchange, Mr. Band sought to put a billionaire donor in touch with the department’s former ambassador to Lebanon.

Along with these revelations of seeming corruption from the Clinton team come revelations of either stupidity or cunning, based on Hillary’s interviews with the FBI. I say stupidity because if we are to believe what Clinton told the FBI, she is indeed an ignoramus; however, if she is not a complete and utter fool… then she is a very convincing and cunning liar.

On Friday, the FBI finally released their documentation from the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server scandal. In those documents come moments of stunning ignorance that one would be shocked to find from a Secretary of State, former Senator, and former First Lady. However, it must be true… because the only other rational explanation is that Mrs. Clinton lied to the FBI.

Hillary Clinton suggested to FBI investigators in a July interview that she had little understanding of classified information when she served as secretary of state.

Clinton told FBI agents she could not remember ever receiving any training for how to preserve federal records or treat classified material.

However, her argument that she barely understood what was going on becomes harder to believe upon learning that her emails weren’t erased until after the media discovered her private servers.

How does that square up with FBI Director Jim Comey’s assertion that the FBI could find no purposeful “intent” to cover up her crimes in their investigation?

Moreover, how is any of this plausible? Is it really possible that the Secretary of State, a woman who, again, has served as First Lady and as a Senator, had NO IDEA how classified information was supposed to work or how it was supposed to be handled?

Ed Morrissey at HotAir digs a little deeper:

It makes for an interesting read, and a couple of eye-popping moments. For instance, agents showed Hillary the e-mails containing information that investigators had verified had been classified at the time of transmission, including Top Secret/SAP — programs so sensitive that even their names were classified. According to pages 26-7 of the first part of the 302, Hillary told them that she believed that the information wasn’t classified, and was not a problem even if the data had gotten into the hands of foreign governments:

Say what? The TS/SAP classification relates to material so sensitive that only Cabinet-level officials and their designees can create these programs.

Here’s some more damning material dug out by Chris Cillizza from the Washington Post:

Anyone who still believes that Hillary Clinton and her team did nothing wrong throughout this process is deluding himself. From the start, this entire debacle has been all about hiding evidence of Hillary’s malfeasance from the American public, and all of the evidence thus far proves it. Each new leak brings more reason to doubt Clinton, as well as more proof that she is unfit to lead.
