Undercover Video Exposes that Planned Parenthood’s Prenatal Care is Virtually Nonexistent

In recent years as the fight against Planned Parenthood (PP) and abortion in America has once again started to heat up, one of the defenses that supporters of PP often turn to is the fact that they offer “prenatal services.” In fact, it’s an argument that back in 2011 PP’s CEO Cecile Richards used while defending her company to the media.

The brave investigators at Live Action recently exposed the horrible fallacy that Planned Parenthood cares about women. No, the truth is that PP only cares about making money by killing babies and selling their body parts to the highest bidders.

In the first video in their new undercover series Live Action proves that PP’s prenatal care is “virtually nonexistent.

Only five of the 97 facilities it contacted across the United States provided prenatal care; the rest turned them away, according to the investigation.

“Planned Parenthood offers abortions, so they don’t offer prenatal care,” a receptionist at the Planned Parenthood in Tempe, Arizona told a Live Action investigator.

Another receptionist at the Albany, New York facility told them, “No Planned Parenthood does prenatal care, hon.”

A third in Merrillville, Indiana said: “No, we don’t do prenatal services. I mean, it’s called Planned Parenthood, I know it’s kind of deceiving.”

In a statement about their new investigation and the information that they uncovered, Live Action explained what they had discovered.

Live Action’s “Abortion Corporation” investigation shows that Planned Parenthood is focused on pushing profitable abortions, often at the expense of health care services for the women it claims to serve.

Planned Parenthood’s own numbers show that it performs less than two percent of U.S. women’s cancer screenings, zero mammograms, and offers virtually no prenatal care for women who want to keep their babies. Its solution for helping women to adopt instead of abort is to tell them to search for adoption services on the Internet.  Yet, Planned Parenthood has the largest market share of any abortion chain in the country at over 30 percent.

How was Live Action able to prove that Planned Parenthood was not being honest about the work they do? They called and asked them.

Though Planned Parenthood claims that women depend on them for prenatal care, Live Action investigators had an incredibly hard time finding facilities that offered it—though they found plenty offering abortions. Live Action contacted all 41 Planned Parenthood affiliates where undercover recording is permitted by state law, and only 5 facilities out of 97 said they provided prenatal care.

Watch as Planned Parenthood openly admits they don’t really “do” any prenatal care at all.

In a stroke of coincidence, on the same day that Live Action released the first in a series of undercover videos proving Planned Parenthood was lying, liberal writer Moira Weigel took to the pages of the Atlantic to argue that ultrasounds were propaganda. In what can only be described as an illogical screed, Weigel curses ultrasound technology for supporting science and showing that babies in utero are as human as the parents who created them. Weigel seems to wish that technological advances would cease so that people considering abortions could continue to pretend that the babies they were killing weren’t people. I’m not being dramatic, she really does seem to hate technology and science.

Sean Davis at the Federalist was blown away by Weigel’s illogical ramblings but he understands why she’s so upset.

The fact of the matter is that abortion activists know what they’re doing: they are voluntarily choosing to end a precious and distinct human life. After all, if that unborn baby girl weren’t alive, the abortionist wouldn’t be so hell-bent on killing her. And if her heart weren’t beating, the abortionist wouldn’t have to try so hard to make it stop…

Like most treatises from abortion activists about how babies aren’t real people, Weigel’s comes across more as a sad attempt to convince herself than a credible attempt to convince her readers. No amount of euphemisms can obscure the truth that unborn babies are alive, that their hearts beat just as ours do, and that the abortion industry is dead set on killing as many of them as possible.
