Many on the Left would have you to think that the U.S. is a unique country regarding immigration. This is true. We are very unique, but not for the reasons they would have you to think.

They represent our immigration policies as if they were unusually difficult and costly. The cost and restrictions are made to sound discriminatory and cruel.

But, we are unique for the very opposite reason. Unlike most every other country, the United States are very open to any and all who are willing to be open about their past and diligent enough to become American. And though the cost could be somewhat high for these immigrants, they pale in comparison to the rest of the world.

The Washington times reports:

There’s a reason anti-Trump celebrities such as Miley Cyrus and Lena Dunham aren’t keeping their promises to leave the country: It’s hard. Really hard.

That’s where Nuri Katz comes in. As founder and president of Apex Capital Partners Corp., Mr. Katz specializes in assisting Americans and others who want to escape their home countries and settle elsewhere, a trend that was on the upswing even before Donald Trump was elected Nov. 8. to be the next U.S. president.

According to this expert, there is a reason that all the Trump haters on the Left have not abandoned their country as promised, they can’t find a place to take them. They either are not willing to pay the high cost to repatriate, or they cannot prove their worth to their new home.

The Times continues:

Caribbean islands such as St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Antigua & Barbuda, and Dominica have attracted wealthy international immigrants in recent years with their Citizenship by Investment programs, which boil down the application process to little more than a financial transaction.

“The easiest places are the Caribbean countries, but you need to invest upwards of $100,000 up to millions of dollars,” Mr. Katz said. “You have to have a pretty high net worth to do that.”

In other words, the reason that America is unique is that it is so easy and cheap to become an American. Other nations, such as Canada and even the Caribbean requires that you prove you are worth having. Part of that process includes paying to get in and getting a job.

Maybe if America would stop paying immigrants for getting in illegally, we would see immigration that benefits both those who come and the communities they come to be a part of.
