Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber Blasted for Destroying America’s Healthcare
Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo had the infamous Jonathan Gruber on her show Tuesday, and to say that there were fireworks would be an understatement. Bartiromo absolutely demolished the erstwhile architect of Obamacare, a man who once argued that Obamacare would pass because of the “stupidity” of the American voter, pointing out that Obamacare has driven healthcare costs higher, slowed down our economy, and been a pain in the backside of most American workers.
When Gruber tried to blame everyone else for his failures, Bartiromo let loose with an epic attack.
“It’s very hard to make the case that you’re making knowing what the reality is, and the reality is families cannot afford Obamacare, and the reality is premiums for families across the country have skyrocketed, and even if you’re in a plan with your company like you say so many people are, companies are not hiring more workers because they are being forced to provide health care. So the plan 100 percent is being looked at as way too expensive. That’s not press; that’s not speculation. This is what families and businesses are saying.”

Gruber dared to argue that this just wasn’t true, that these were anecdotes that Bartiromo was cherry picking and not factual data.
However, as we’ve pointed out before premiums are skyrocketing across the country.
The AP is reporting that healthcare premiums are about to rise an average of 25% across the country, even as many American families are already struggling to pay their current premiums.
Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama’s health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That’s sure to stoke another “Obamacare” controversy days before a presidential election.
Those are facts Mr. Gruber, not anecdotes.
